Hello,

I would like to let everyone know how excited we all are about the upcoming trip to Washington. The last 3 years have been wonderful and we fully expect this year's trip to go just as well.  I would like to take this opportunity to review a few important points with everyone:

1.  I will need all of the missing paperwork returned to me as soon as possible.

**Please retain the emergency information sheet and keep it with your child's money while we are in Washington.

2.  Of course, if things change regarding medication, etc, we can revise the paperwork at any time.

3.  I will post all "group" correspondences on the website

4.  All 6th grade students received a list of medical information that is required for 7th grade entry in their 3rd quarter report cards. All of the missing information needs to be returned to the nurse before we leave for Washington. The state requires it to be returned to me by the first day of school. Of course, there are often extenuating circumstances. Please contact me if you have any issues or concerns and we will work them out.

5.  We expect to have a fairly substantial waiting list for this trip. If you are aware that your child will not be able to attend for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible. You will receive a full refund.

6.  I would like to remind everyone to carefully consider how your child will respond to being away from home without family for 4 days. If you think your child will be homesick, please reconsider sending him/her. This trip will be miserable for your child if he/she is homesick. It will also put an undue burden on a chaperone who has 9 other students to supervise.

7.  Please have your child return the rooming form as soon as the list of students Mrs. Emery does a marvelous job of mixing things up and making students happy but all we can promise is that your child will be roomed with a minimum of 1 other student on his/her rooming list.

**When you fill out the form, please have your child confirm that the names he/she are putting on the form are actually attending the trip. No waiting list names should be used.
