Mr.
Bowser ~
If you haven’t heard this jazz catz
mad beats, you’re missing out big. Whether it be at
the spring concert, the Christmas concert, or just sitting in study hall you’ll
be hearing the mesmerizing suavity of music. But who really runs the show? Who
really teaches our musically challenged and/or insane brethren to play
like Bach and Beethoven? He’s the third “B” in that group of talented
composers; he has a fashionable mustache, and he gots
himself a cool music wand thing! It’s none other than the all so great, Mr.
Bowser.
Mr. Bowser always wanted to be a music
teacher. His past music teachers and band directors in junior high were very
influential to his eventual career choice. They inspired him to pursue his
dreams in the music department. And of course, he did. In junior high he
decided that he wanted to be a band teacher. Mr. Bowser has been teaching at
This man has done many music related
things in his lifetime. He has played professionally in classical, jazz, and
rock groups. He has also composed musical ensembles for various different
orchestras and even our own NCMS band. He teaches students how to play their
instrument and picks out songs for them to play at concerts. The two things
that he loves most about his career are the rewarding experience he gets from
teaching children and getting to be around music all the time. One thing that
Mr. Bowser is really proud of is being a professional musician. His most valued
accomplishment in life is “having two wonderful, intelligent, imaginative,
talented, children that take after their mother.”
During his time at NCMS he has worked with Ms.
Shannon Soares. They have performed duets together on
many occasions. On September 11, 2002 they organized a musical performance
outside the school to remember the lives that were lost during the terrorist
attacks in
